Service Projects 2017-2018

       4th of July Parade

Key Club Members helped out the New Albany Public Service Department by
walking in the parade and passing out information about their new PUP program.
In addition, they also passed out dog waste bag dispensers. It was a very fun
       day!

Car Wash
Key Club members participated in our annual UNICEF Car Wash. All the money went to the ELIMINATE project to help mothers and all of their future children with vaccinations for MNT. Even though it started to rain, we continued to clean the cars.

First Meeting
At our first meeting, we had over two hundred people come! Board members discussed what Key Club was and what we do as a club. We also wrote letters to veterans as a service project.
Hurricane Harvey Drive
Two days before a meeting, Key Club partnered with National Honor Society and Student Council to raise money to purchase items to donate to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. As a school, we raised over ONE THOUSAND dollars, which went to purchase more than six hundred items. At our meeting that Friday, we organized the items into boxes.

No Slip Socks
One of our favorite projects is making no slip socks for a nursing home in town. Key Club Members used puff paint to decorate the bottoms of socks to create a texture that will prevent people from slipping on smooth surfaces. People got very creative!
Car Smash
During the homecoming football game, volunteers helped with our annual Car Smash for breast cancer research. There were people who helped promote the event by holding signs and encouraging people to stop by. Overall we raised over five hundred dollars and all of it is going to a good cause.
